You may not remember, but I have had an interest in Ezekiel's vision sense the Holy Spirit began to teach me on this account in 1980. To answer your question above I would say, "Yes, John, I do believe all the Bible prophecies are meant to be fulfilled, and my reason hangs on the soverign will of YHWH both to compose the vision and to fulfill it in real time." In Isaiah 45 YHWH says, "I made man....and he will build my city." The Bible makes us to understand we are made to serve God's purposes, and he proposes to build (with us) a Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven, and this Kingdom will fill the whole Earth.
